This Apple oats crisp has less sugar and can be taken for breakfast too. I didn't add any sweetener to the Apples. No flour, no butter Apple crisp is a perfect vegan dessert.
In a bowl combine oats, almond meal, pecans, coconut sugar, maple syrup, coconut oil, and vanilla extract and give a stir.
On a baking dish, arrange the sliced apples at the bottom. Add sugar if needed. Mix well.
Spread the oat mixture all over the apple and bake for 30 minutes or the top is golden and crisp and the apples are soft, cooked.( When a toothpick inserted into the apple it should be soft.)
Serve warm with icecream, vegan custard, or coconut whipping cream.
Notes
My apples were bland. Add sugar to your apples if you like.
For 2 apples add 1-2 of sugar and 1/2-1 tbsp of coconut oil.
If you are not going to bake immediately add lemon juice to the apple.
